Curug Dago - Waterfall or curug is natural attraction which often be found in indonesia. The natural structure filled by the mountains make many waterfalls easy to be found . And one of the most beautiful waterfall in Bandung is Curug Dago. Curug Dago is amazing waterfall destination in Bandung with the height of the water about 12 meters and about 800 m high above sea level. It flows water from Cikapundung river which pass from Maribaya and then enter Bandung City.
It is not easy to find this waterfall, because the Curug is slightly hidden. Curug Dago located at around Bukit Dago, inside Taman Hutan Raya Ir H. Djuanda Kartawidjaja, Bandung. Perhaps this Curug is not so well known by foreign and local tourists because it is slightly hidden, but the nature of this Curug will increase your convenience in your travel. Actually, Curug Dago has many historical story especially with The Thailand Kingdom. This case can be seen by the two historical slate inscriptions of 1818 AD, found not far from the Dago Waterfall. According to the research of the historians, the two inscriptions are relics of King Rama V or King Chulalonkorn and King Rama VII or Pradjathipok Pharaminthara derived from the Chakri dynasty who visited Dago Waterfall.
Dago waterfall precisely located in Dago Village, Coblong sub-district, Bandung, West Java, Java Island, Indonesia. It is located about 8 km from the central city towards the north of Bandung. There are two ways to reach the Dago Waterfall. First, you can pass through the road side of Terminal Dago and the second, you can reach it via Taman Budaya Ganesha Dago or Dago Tea House that located at Jl, Ir. Juanda. At those two streets you are only permitted by motorcycle or on your foot.
Before you visit Dago Waterfall, you have to prepare your physical condition well. Because the path you will pass is a little hard and need more energy. For you who love advanture, this amazing place is very satisfying. You will not regret definitely if you come to the location because of Dago Waterfall's naturalness . To reach the base of the Dago Waterfall you must go stright to climb down the concrete stairs. This road is more slippery and steep than the road before, without iron hand-grip and uncomplete fence. After climbing down the stairs about 100 m, you can arrive at the base of the Curug.
Unfortunately, there are basic problems that we often find in Indonesia's Tourism location, that is no comfortable accomodation and food court here. Because this place has not been ordered neatly. You should prepare your logistic for your trip in Dago Waterfall. But don't worry at least there is a stall and two small places that you can use for resting area. The concrete-made seat has also been prepared in the garden. But it's condition is not so comfortable.
